WOW! What a special week it has been for Pinnacle swim & dive!
Our senior meet on Thursday against Arcadia was so fun to watch and our pizza party was very memorable. We will miss our seniors but I know they have so many great things to look forward to in their future endeavors. Let's use these last few weeks of the season to cherish every moment with them! Many personal best and/or seasonal best times were achieved. That is a direct result of all the hard work you have put in throughout the season.
The final scores of the meet were: Boys 83-93 Arcadia and Girls 67-119 Arcadia.
THANK YOU to Tracy Francis, Alesha Hill, and Jacki Tatman who helped make this night so special by arranging the flowers, pizza, and senior posters.
THANK YOU to all of the parents/friends/family that volunteered to time throughout the season.
THANK YOU to Ken Apel, Darin Melin, and Debbie Lane for officiating our home meets, as well as invitational meets.
THANK YOU to Sharon Apel (and helpers) for keeping score.
THANK YOU parents for coming out and supporting your amazing athletes!
As for yesterday's district meet:
We are officially the 2016 men's & women's PVUSD district champions!
This is the first time in Pinnacle history that both teams have won the district meet together. The coaches are SO proud of ALL of you. Those who swam received personal and seasonal bests, as well as a few provisional state qualification times. I have attached the results to this email. Those of you who came to cheer on your team did a phenomenal job. It was great to see (and hear) that sea of white on the side of the pool.Everyone plays a role in the successes we have and I couldn't be more proud to be a Pioneer!
Reminders for the week:
1) Wednesday, 10/26, is the last practice we will have all together. Juniors will be giving captains speeches before we get in the water. *note: you do not HAVE to give a speech. Your teammates will be voting afterward and we will announce the 2017 captains at the banquet.
