I have been using a new communication tool to jumpstart our fundraising, but it seems some of you aren’t opening the emails. Please check to make sure none of them have been dumped into junk mail etc… The Subject line will always reference PHS Swim & Dive.
We are getting our fundraising underway to keep from adding to the already jam-packed hectic fall swim season. We are attempting to near our fundraising goal of $6000 before the season begins, but it is going to require the cooperation of everyone. I have received a question regarding why we need to fundraise so much money. This is money above and beyond what the district fee and booster fee pays for. Here is what the money is intended for:
· 4 invites = $1600
· Season Slide show DVD at the End of Season Banquet for everyone
· Senior gifts – towels & roses
· Fun T-Shirt – for the t-shirt party (shirt and supplies)
· Sweats – top & bottom
· Additional shade structures – we have used the team tent, the Reinstein’s tent and our tent. We feel that our tents have and will continue to take quite a beating and we would like to preserve them. The team could use additional shade beyond the one tent that belongs to the team.
· Coaches lunches at the invites
· 1 Team picture for each swimmer / diver
· (This is all based on an approximation of 50 swimmers/divers)
We have allowed for a little extra in the event of changes in pricing and to help build up the account.
As many of you know, the costs (district fee $200 and Booster fee) at the beginning of the season can be difficult especially in the economy of the last few years. These are all expenses in addition to those costs. This has been done in an effort to be sensitive to everyone’s finances. The season is quick and robust. There always seems to be additional expenses throughout. Hopefully this will help enable each swimmer / diver to participate without finances being a barrier; however, in order for everyone to benefit we need everyone’s participation.
We have a variety of fundraisers to encourage team building, unity and quick money. The quicker we make our goal, the quicker we can finish up the fundraising.

Shipping is a flat $5.95 regardless of the amount you purchase and will be shipped immediately following processing of your order to the address you specify. Mother's Day is around the corner, so this is a great opportunity to take care of gifts as well. Everything comes in adorable packaging and you can add a message to the recipient.

This fundraiser is just like the last one with a couple of changes. Instead of tear off coupons, they have come out with a punch card which includes 8 Buy 1 Get 1 Free punches.
Cost: $10 a card
Profit to us: $5 a card
Expiration: 4/2012
Since the monies raised will benefit every swimmer and diver, we are asking everyone's participation in selling a minimum of 5 cards.

TEAM YARD SALE - DATE TBD
2 years ago, we had a very successful yard sale for the team. So it's time to put on our wading boots and venture into those corners of our homes we don't dare go every day.
